FAQ

1. Where should I wait for the coach?

You may check the arrival or departure platform on any of the information panels distributed throughout the station or at the information point in the centre of the bus station.

2. Does the bus station have a left luggage service?

Yes, and it is accessible by the public 24 hours a day.
There are three sizes of locker:

  • Skis or snowboards, cost: € 7 for 24 hours
  • Large, cost:  € 5 for 24 hours
  • Small, cost: € 3.50 for 24 hours

3. Is the bus station building open all the time?

No, we close the building for a few hours at night for cleaning.
The station is open every day of the year from 05.15 to 01.15 the next day.  However there is a small room with food and drinks machines, toilets, display screens etc. that is open for passengers when the bus station is closed.

4. How can I get to the bus station and catch a bus/coach?

The metro and suburban train stop "Arc de Triomf" is located in Calle de Nàpols opposite the bus station.
The stop for bus no. 54 is situated at the junction of Calle de Alí Bei and Calle de Sicília.
There is a taxi rank at the junction of Calle de Alí Bei and Calle de Nàpols.
The ticket offices of all the companies that work in the station are on the first floor. You can buy your ticket there if you do not yet have one.
Departing coaches usually stand at the platform 15 to 20 minutes before their departure.

5. What can I do while I am waiting for the coach?

We have a bar-restaurant that serves plated meals, a bakery where they serve rolls, drinks and snack machines, a sweet shop,  gift shops, a kiosk, a recreation area for the young and not so young.  Air conditioned rooms with wi-fi and background music.

6. Can I drive into the bus station?

No, but there is a car park where you pay for the minutes used and that has special offers for passengers. There is direct access to the platforms and coaches.
There are also lifts at all entrances.

7. Where is the bus station?

We are very near the centre of the city, two L1 metro stops from Plaça de Catalunya (metro stop "Arc de Triomf" towards "Catalunya") or a 15 minute walk along Ronda de Sant Pere.

8. Can I send a parcel without travelling myself?

Yes. The coach station has a parcel delivery service located opposite Platform 42. It is open from Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 14:30 and from 16:30 to 19:30. The service only operates for national destinations.

9. Is there a lost property service?

A record is kept of property lost within the coach station itself. If the loss occurred on a coach, you must ask at the relevant company ticket offices.

10. Do Imerso trips leave from this bus station?

Yes, Imerso and Mundo Senior trips for older people leave from the Barcelona North Bus Station. All travellers must go to ticket office no. 20 on the first floor to find out which platform their coach will leave from and to check in.
